As in our opinion more than 97% of markets disk are made for normal PC usage and are normally not designed for running at 24h/7d operation. On the other side Intradisks very compact design makes it very easy using the devices for mobile applications or just moving all your data between your office and your home. High accelleration rates in mobile applications are the worst risk for mobile data on a harddisk. Intradisk harddisk interface is a 133Ultra DMA Interface which is intended to do most of the data transfers with very low usage of our high speed 533MHz Intel ARM Xscale CPU. The advantag is to have much CPU power left for doing other processing in parallel with high performance like e.g. working on encryption, network protocols, streaming internet radio, music or video at the same time and even in paralell (up 5 x video streams at the same time).
In contrary to the new SATA standard our wide spread PATA/IDA interface guarantees you the availability of high reliable server disks enabling our devices mainly for all kinds of professional applications and especially for 24h/7d a week operation.
As only about 5% of markets available disks are designed for long life server applications our choice is to ship our devices only with the best available disks for almost all kinds of applications. These disks are especially tested and design for high shock resistance, low exhaust temperature, lowest noise and enhanced lifetimes.

Even the choice of our standard server disks enable our devices for full operation even in automotive applications e.g. for car entertainment, data recording or any other kinds of opertations. You still have to take into account about the choice of the place regarding aspects of vibrations and shocks direction not to be in paralell to the spindels axis and a cool place near the bottom of the rear seats.
Though special disk for autmotive applications are the choice if you indend to have high reliable data storage or any kinds of high performance server applications at very low power consumption.
